Video of George Chen

Dear Friends,

Everyone involved with Asia Harvest work around the world would like to thank you for your prayers, encouragement and generous support throughout the year. Despite the many challenges Christian work has faced because of the pandemic and intensifying persecution, by God’s grace we have been able to supply more Bibles to the Lord’s children and support more workers in 2021 than ever before.

We hope that 2022 will be a fruitful year in your life. The Scriptures promise: “Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you” (James 4:7-8). Let’s not focus on troubles in the world, but be fully focused on the kingdom of God, for His timetable is running perfectly to plan! In 2022 we pray you will experience the presence of God next year closer than ever before as you draw near to Him and abide in His Word!

Many people were touched by our recent newsletter in memory of George Chen. Most had never heard of this dear brother before and asked if we had a video or more information about him. Because of the nature of his work, he largely led a low-key lifestyle, but we have discovered one 5-minute video clip from the 1990s in which George briefly shares his testimony. We would like to share it with you today, and hope it encourages and strengthens your own walk with the Lord Jesus.

God bless you as we serve together in the harvest,

The team at Asia Harvest

The recent massive 7.7 earthquake has added untold misery to the people of Myanmar. Estimates are that tens of thousands of people have been killed and up to 3 million have been displaced after their homes were destroyed. The epicenter of the quake was in the Sagaing Region next to Chin State, where many of our prayer requests for Chin and Tangshang tribes have been targeted in recent months. Hundreds of thousands of strong Christians live in these regions.

The Golden Triangle area, where the countries of Laos, Thailand and Myanmar meet, is notorious for being one of the main drug-producing hubs in the world. The same waterways are now being used to transport God’s Word, helping to meet the great demand for Bibles for the thousands of families who are being radically transformed by the Spirit of God.
