All crypto contributions to our projects are used 100% as 'where needed most' unless you send us a separate message noting otherwise. Donations to 'where needed most' are used to run our projects, and are also used to boost a project that is low on funding.

A tax receipt will be emailed to each donor by The Giving Block. In the United States the receipt can be used for tax-deductible purposes. Other countries have different rules regarding Crypto donations and we suggest overseas supporters check with a local advisor to see if you can claim the value of your donation on your taxes.
Generally, giving Cryptocurrency is a non-taxable event. Donors do not owe capital gains tax on the appreciated crypto that is donated and can typically deduct the fair market value of the donation on their taxes.
