The house churches in Inner Mongolia have grown rapidly during the 2000s, doubling or tripling in size in many locations, mostly among the Han but also among an increasing number of ethnic Mongols. Genuine revival has encompassed many areas, both rural and urban, especially in Baotou, Hohhot, and Wulanchabu prefectures. Those closely alligned to the Three Self church movement, however, doubt such claims as they have not seen similar growth in their churches.
