This figure includes about 5,000 Orthodox believers in Beijing, who are not part of the TSPM but do not fit in any of the other categories on this table. Mandryk, Operation World (2010), p.229, listed a percentage which amounts to 97,700 TSPM believers in Beijing Municipality.
According to a 2011 report in Xinhua, "around 5,000 people are baptized annually in Beijing's 21 TSPM churches," Xinhua (27 July 2011).

Compass Direct (February 2004) stated the Beijing house churches numbered "90,000 Christians in 3,000 fellowships, especially in the suburbs and villages surrounding Beijing." A house church survey in 2001 estimated 500,000 believers in Beijing at the time, after powerful revival had swept many parts of the municipality in the previous years.

Mandryk, Operation World (2010), p.229, listed a percentage which amounts to 472,200 house church believers in Beijing Municipality. Johnstone & Mandryk, Operation World (2001), p.168, listed a percentage which amounts to 499,500 house church believers in Beijing Municipality.
