The Collapsing Economy in China:

  • Hundreds of “ghost cities” across the country now sit empty as the collapsing housing market and terrible demographic realities of China collide. In some cases, rows of apartment buildings have been demolished even before anyone lived in them, as shown on this dramatic video from the city of Kunming.

The New Aggressive China:

  • Many nations now see China as the number one threat to global security and Xi’s aggressive foreign policy (known as “wolf warrior diplomacy") has brought about the formation of several new military alliances to counter his plans.

  • China’s efforts to show the world that their power has spectacularly backfired, and nations previously sought a healthy trading relationship with China have adjusted their views and now see them as a threat to world peace. Xi Jinping targeted Australian exports with devastating effect, and a Chinese government spokesman even issued a veiled threat of nuclear war against Australia.

Persecution and Harassment spreads around the World:

  • Countries where people are complacent or completely oblivious to the threat of Communism are easy targets for Chinese influence. Incredibly, a top politician named Jian Yang rose his way to the top echelons of power in the New Zealand government despite being trained as a spy by the Communist Party in China.

  • Christian workers focused on China have been harassed and surveilled at new levels. In the sleepy town of Midland, Texas, Bob Fu of China Aid Association found the entire neighborhood around his home was blocked off by Chinese protestors for weeks. In a typical Communist Party ploy to create confusion, the protestors falsely claimed the mission leader himself was a Communist spy. Fu and his family were taken into US federal protective custody.

China’s Demographic Nightmare:

  • With a rapidly ageing population and a lack of young people of tax-paying age to pay for Xi’s military expansion, things are likely to stagnate and deteriorate in China. Some economists estimate that China needs 400 million more people of working age to keep its economy going forward and fund their military aspirations. The Communist Party’s one-child policy, accompanied by hundreds of millions of forced abortions, has wiped out a generation of Chinese. The very people they need to pay for their plans don’t exist. They were sacrificed on the altar of the Communist Party death cult.

The Cult of Emperor Xi Jinping:

  • Xi Jinping’s reign has been greatly helped by his access to technology that previous rulers like Mao Zedong could not dream of. In 2019 it became compulsory for anyone buying a phone to have their faces scanned, so the Communist Party can keep track of the internet and phone usage of all its subjects. Now, with an estimated 400 million facial recognition cameras watching and evaluating their every move, and Xi demanding complete obedience to the Marxist-socialist agenda, many people feel stretched to breaking point and are increasingly fed up with the system.

  • We recommend this 5-minute BBC video which shows the extraordinary control Xi Jinping is exerting over the population, with more than one “predictive AI facial recognition camera” for every three people in China today.

  • Xi has tried to replace God with a cult of himself. He wants to be all-seeing, all-knowing, and all-powerful. He has erected giant billboards and posters of his face as he demands unwavering devotion and commitment to his cause. In tens of thousands of churches across China, crosses and Scripture verses have been forcibly removed and replaced with posters of Xi and Mao, or with Chinese flags.

The Church in China under Attack:

  • After systematically expelling almost all foreign Christians from China over the past 6 or 7 years and offering cash rewards to people who provide tip-offs to the police that lead to the arrest of foreign Christians, a widespread persecution has afflicted God’s people in every part of the nation, but especially in the border provinces.

  • Many Christians in China have warily eyed the brutal punishment metered out against more than one million Muslims in Xinjiang, who have been detained and “re-programmed” in concentration camps throughout Xinjiang. This brief article by US senator Tom Cotton summarizes the grim situation, which has now spread to other ethnic minority areas in China, with hundreds of thousands of Tibetans now also believed to have been forced into concentration camps.

  • The Communist Party has even been working on a new Bible, removing passages they don’t like, and replacing them with socialist teachings. One proposed change is the story of the woman at the well. The Communist Party didn’t like that she was forgiven, so in one textbook they are reportedly changing it so that instead of Jesus telling her, “Go and sin no more,” the new teaching has Jesus picking up a stone and stoning her to death! Let’s see if God will allow such blatant blasphemy and corruption of His holy Word to go unpunished.

Prayer Requests:

  • Please pray for President Xi Jinping and China’s other leaders, that God would soften their hearts and cause them to repent and submit their lives to Jesus Christ before it is too late. And please continue to pray for the Body of Christ in China, that the great revival of the past 50 years would continue to burn and bring many millions more people into the kingdom of God.

  • In several speeches, Xi has spoken about his desire for a “great nationalist revival” of the Chinese people. Pray the Living God will indeed continue and expand His great revival — just not the kind Xi Jinping expects!
