China Children's ProjectTraining Sunday School teachers in China.Through your prayers and giving we have been able to train and equip 3,744 Sunday School teachers in China. In China today there are more than 400 million children aged under 15, and over 500 million aged under 18. This means there are almost twice as many children in China than the entire population of the United States, or twenty-five times more than Australia. In recent years the Christian leaders in China have developed an effective project to help reach the precious children in their nation. They are training thousands of Sunday School teachers, and equipping them with specific resources. Each person attending the training has their travel costs covered, and a set of materials is given to them for free. This set of materials includes a Children's Bible, Teacher's Manual, 18 Teaching books with visual aids, 15 hours of VCD (video cassette disk) teaching, 6 CDs of 'Children's Heavenly Songs'. The total cost of $47 per set includes printing and production, storage, and transportation. It also includes the cost of bringing each teacher to the training course. China Bible PrintingHelping Equip China's Christians with God's Word.
Current Total: 1,372,050 Chinese Bibles printed and distributed to the
house churches of China. Although a limited number of Bibles are now permitted to be printed inside China, they are not enough to meet the need. Because of the tremendous growth rate of the church in China (some say 20,000 new believers each day, or approximately 7 million per year), there is a serious lack of Bibles. Millions of Christians are still without God's Word. We are partnering with several large house church networks in China in a long-term goal to print Bibles for the church. These Bibles are distributed to all parts of China, equipping the believers and helping add fuel to the fires of revival that are burning throughout the world's largest nation. Click here to read our recent newsletter about the China Bible Fund. Each Bible costs just $1.80 to print and deliver. To donate to the China Bible Fund, click below. |

Southeast Asia Bible FundHelping Equip China's Christians with God's Word.
Current Total: 125,635 Bibles and New Testaments Printed in 21 languages of Southeast Asia. The Communist nations of Laos and Vietnam contain more than 250 different tribes, dozens of which had full Bibles or New Testaments translated into their languages prior to the arrival of Communism in 1975. Since then, these believers have been deprived of Scriptures in their languages because their governments oppose the spread of Christianity and Bible printing is illegal. A slightly different situation exists in the country of Myanmar (formerly known as Burma), which is ruled by a brutal military dictatorship. There the need for the Word of God in a variety of languages also remains critical. In some cases, missionaries labored for years translating the Word of God for a tribe, only to have their work cut short by the change of government. The goal of the Southeast Asia Bible Fund is to print the Scriptures in a number of different languages as the need arises. Asia Harvest has so far printed and delivered Bibles and New Testaments in 21 different Southeast Asian languages, namely Akha, Bahnar, Bru, Burmese, Chinese, Choro, Co, Hmong Daw, Hre, Jarai, Khmu, Khun, Koho, Lao, Mnong, Raglai, Sgaw Karen, Stieng, Tai Dam, Vietnamese and Wa. (click on a link to learn more about a particular tribe or ethnic group). The cost of each Bible varies from one language to the next, but the average cost is $2.70 per Bible. Please pray with us for the many tribes and ethnic groups throughout Southeast Asia that are perishing without God's Word. Click here to read our recent newsletter on the Southeast Asia Bible Fund. Each Bible costs just $2.70 to print and deliver. To donate to the Southeast Asia Bible Fund, click below. |

CHINA: Living Martyrs' FundSupporting Pastors now disabled by persecution.Because of your prayers and support we are currently able to support 1,087 living martyrs every month. A 'martyr' has been defined as "a Christian who chooses to suffer death rather than deny Christ, or His work... One who sacrifices something very important to further the Kingdom of God... and endures great suffering for Christian witness." (The Voice of the Martyrs)In the rural areas of China today Christians continue to be beaten, imprisoned and tortured because they love Jesus. House church leaders have given us details of more than 1,000 Christian leaders who have been crippled as a result of torture received at the hands of the authorities. The Living Martyrs fund assists many pastors and evangelists who are now unable to work because of their injuries or illnesses. They and their families face extreme poverty and hardship. You can support one or more of these living martyrs with a donation of US$25 per month each. A prayer card will be sent to every regular supporter of this project, with information to help you pray. Project SmileHelping Children in VietnamYour generous gifts have so far helped bring a smile to the faces of 5,766 children in Vietnam. Project Smile helps children from poor families in Vietnam who were born with disabilities such as cleft palates, cleft-lips and club feet, as well as others who need operations for burns, cancerous growths and other conditions. The cost of helping a child varies depending on the kind of surgery required, but each gift received of $60 will help a child have a better life. This pays for the cost of the operation, the travel expenses for the child and his/her parents to come to the city where the operation takes place, and the cost of an overnight stay in the hospital.
